Some people have bridal parties and other people like my husband and I had basically had a soccer team. On my side I had 13 bridesmaids and on his 12 grooms men all together including ourselves we had 27 of us ::purely insane:: My side breakdown was 1 matron of honor 1 maid of honor 7 bridesmaids 3 jr bridesmaids and 1 flower girl-now that’s a mouthful!
I’ve alwayed dreamed of a quant morning of getting ready with my bridesmaids giving them a gift that wasn’t cheesy and they could reuse. I had a certain look for hair and makeup, so I decided to gift them a day of pampering. They all came to my house the morning of and got treated to hair and makeup- it was so nice to have them all in one spot, we sipped on champagne, shared a few tears and laughs while we got dolled up! Makeup was provided by: makeup artistry by Jillian and hair was provided by: hair by Lindsay Baxter. Both ladies are so talented and the absolute sweetest I’ve literally have dubbed them my glam squad, I will use them for every occasion without hesitation.-I’ve linked both of their websites below.
Now I could’ve just done that and I feel that’s perfectly acceptable unlike some people aka the knot that says “hair and makeup isn’t a gift.”- I say who is anyone to tell me what is and isn’t a gift? But for my girls I decided to do a couple more things.
My colors were blush, ivory and rose gold. The bridesmaids wore blush, both MOH’s wore rose gold and the JR bridesmaids and flower girl wore ivory. I decided that I wanted to incorporate the rose gold into all of their outfits as a group so I bought each of them rose gold earrings to complete the look. I found the perfect earrings on Etsy at Project Dahlia and they are stunning. All of the girls looked so beautiful in them.
Lastly I loved the idea of a monogrammed robe. I knew that this would be a little costly so I decided to start early and contact a few shops to get pricing. I was a little disappointed just because all the robes within my price range seemed a little cheap or didn’t have the monogram included. I found this women Katie and she agreed on a great price and the robe looked nice. I decided to go with her which was a HUGE mistake. She totally scammed me and left me high and dry 2weeks before my wedding day!!- Thats a whole other story that i’ll save for another time. Needless to say I was in a total panic I had no robes for my girls until I found Lacie from Monogram Madness on Etsy. Lacie was a total blessing!! The robes were beautiful and she offered an amazing price point. By the time I found her I was a week away from the big day she took on my large order and overnighted me the robes they literally came in a few days before the wedding, but were well worth it!
I put all of the girls goodies into a beautiful bag from LoveTisTrue on etsy, that had each of their names written in a rose gold/copper calligraphy on the front. It was the perfect touch to their gift!- you all know I’m all about the details!
